Do you think it’s weird to not use syrup on pancakes?

Crepes are much more common in my country. Usually we use either jam or sugar for that (or Nutella if you wanna go all out).

I guess I would use syrup for pancakes as well. But not too much. And it would depend, the better the pancake, the less syrup I would have I guess.
