Do they eat corn muffins in your country (or state)?

As a true Southerner, I use cornmeal to make corn muffins. It's a delicious side dish, served with beef stew or pulled pork.

But I recognize that different cultures have different uses for cornmeal, and not everyone is blessed enough by God to have been born in the South USA. For example, Romanians make something called mămăligă.

What about you? How do you use cornmeal in your country or state?

I've only ever made them once out of curiosity and you can buy cornbread in some shops but it's not very popular. Very few people will have corn meal in their cupboards at home.
