What is your favorite fast food?

Spill it, what do you like to eat more than any other fast-food place? Providing of course you didn't want to make yourself something at home. Still, isn't fast food better than a TV Dinner?

I definitely like Wendy's biggie bag (costs $7). Bacon jr. cheeseburger, fries, and chicken nuggets with a drink. That's what it comes with. I also like getting a frosty & saving for later if I want it.

@nikki1989 15 years? What do you eat if you are in a hurry or don't have time to cook? I mean self prepared meals are always best, but who has time these days to prepare any? The good thing is that you can freeze it for leftovers.

White Castle/Krystal "burgers", but they don't agree with my body so well. Chick-fil-A is good, but they still don't even serve with onions. Italian beef is great, but the big chains have "lost the touch"- I can make better than Buona beef, the closest to us.

My favorite "fast food" is a cheeseburger. When headed south to visit family, we had a decently tasty- if somewhat small- Hardee's double.

Hardee's and Carl's Jr., which are both part of Carl Karcher Enterprises- it just depends on which area of the country you are in. In 1941, Carl Karcher & wife used $311 to open a hot dog cart in Los Angeles. They sold hot dogs, chili dogs, and tamales for a dime, and soda for a nickel. It didn't take long to become popular and soon they owned four in Southern CA. They expanded the business to Anaheim in 1945 & opened Carl's Drive-In Barbecue, with a star on the sign. He added the first drive-thru to beat the nascent McD and it continued to grow. On the East Coast, Wilber Hardee had opened several restaurants around Greenville, NC by 1960. He decided to open a quick-serve joint that would use char-grill the burgers to beat competition. His restaurant, Hardee's Drive-In was a hit. He was approached by entrepreneurs Leonard Rawls & Jim Gardner and the three men created a partnership to expand the restaurant into a chain. Hardee decided to sell his part of the business to Rawls and Gardner, but the new chain kept the name Hardee's. The fast-food chain continued to grow, adding restaurants across the South and Midwest. By late 60s, the company became Hardee's Food Systems.
In the 70s and 80s, the Hardee's Food Systems corporation passed from parent company Spartan Food Systems to Trans World Corp., and then to Imasco, a Canadian company in 1981. By 1997, the chain was the fourth largest chain in the U. S. CKE Restaurants bought Hardee's for $327 million creating a giant chain with over 3,000 Hardee's locations and almost 700 Carl's Jr. stores. Carl's Jr. is mostly in the West/Southwest of the U. S., while you'll see Hardee's everywhere else.

I went to Wendys a couple of weeks ago. I hardly get fast food but I was hungry so I stopped there. It was good.

What can I say - I don't wanna say the B word or T word, yet I discovered by my mid 20s, I really do like - a shake. I don't wanna say milkshake because everyone says that.
