Yup. Had a crush on it since i hit puberty. If I'm fortunate enough to get a number of a kale tree, I set a chatbot to sext with it while tracking down the gps location. Then sneak up and fuck the leaves into fine paste. ᅠ
UK folks do the weirdest things with food. I cannot imagine eating kale and mashed potatoes together, that sounds awful.
In the US we normally steam kale - if you're black - for a good hour or longer to really break it down. Kale is fiberous and will give you the runs if not cooked enough. So you have to cook it down well and then season it up with onions, salt, pepper, and whatever other spices you like.
It makes a good quick 15 min soup with Leeks and lots of garlic too
I haven't eaten much of it since watching thst special on netflix about food contamination and the head of the CDC (I think it was, he's prob been fired this past month anyway) saying he won't eat leafy veggies grown in the ground, especially in certain areas. In UK I'm sure it's different as they have much stronger rules regarding food and chemicals.
Never had it.
Once I tried this leaf cabbage sort in my garden and white Butterflies dropped their eggs on it and a week later it was eaten. I could pour liters of Mospilan solution over it but somehow this isn't the spirit of growing veggies in garden.
Most groceries don't sell it, I guess it's not really outstanding.
Kale, with its robust and slightly bitter flavor, always surprises me. I recall an evening in Galway where I enjoyed colcannon for the first time. The velvety mashed potatoes paired with the earthy greens felt like comfort in a bowl. Each bite was a harmonious blend of land and tradition. For me, its earthiness enhances rather than overwhelms a dish. It adds depth and character that can elevate any meal. 🌿🥔
Do you smoosh up food and cram it in your USB port?

I like it if it's cooked properly. I love it in colcannon. My wife makes a delicious bean soup that contains lots of kale. I don't like it raw, though.
We grow our own. And it's our pet bunny's favorite veggie.
It's a super food, for sure. I've never tried colcannon but I definitely will.
One of my favorite side dishes is a kale apple slaw.
My favorite smoothie is kale, spinach, banana, mango, pineapple, ginger, and coconut water.
I quite love it. Both the European type and the local Asian variety.
In my former (Hanseatic) home area there will be numerous
''Kohl und Pinkel'' events (a delicious type of sausage, Kale, and potatoes).
Fun fact: Kale supports my testosterone level :)
First of all... it tastes like shit. Second of all, I did some research on Kale and it is shit. Grab some spinach and use your other hand to grab her by the pussy instead. Trust me... Captain Crunch and Snap, Crackle, and Pop all say I'm like a scientist and shit. If you're trying to be healthy, then don't bullshit.
Not really but I'll eat it. It is one of those "I know it is healthy" so I'll have some foods. I don't actively dislike it, beets and onions are foods I won't eat. Broccoli, Cauliflower, peas are other foods I don't really like but will eat.
I like the taste of lacinato kale vs the red kale... but the red kale is easier to rip off the stem.
Grünkohl (kale) is very popular in this area of Germany. Boiled (to death) with potatoes and, naturally, sausage, it's a favorite winter dish.
I est kale when it's served to me. I don't go out of the way to get it though.
Don’t like it much. Texture like cardboard.
Yes, I love the texture of it. So crunchy lol
sometimes I work I sneak some of the kale and make a salad out of it. It’s meant for the soups so we aren’t supposed to use it but I just take it when the managers aren’t around
Nobody likes kale. It's just garbage shrub that got famous thanks to a PR campaign backed by the completely made up American Kale Association.
Kala is cow feed, and not really even good for that. Depending on the soil it is grown in, it can be very high in toxic heavy metals.
Colcannon is supposed to be made with cabbage. Cook a couple pieces of bacon. Do you guys even have real smoked bacon or just salt pork and call it bacon? Chop up the cabbage, throw it in the frying pan with the bacon and bacon grease, green onions, pepper and seasoned salt, and fry some of the moisture out of it. Then take it and mix it with the mashed potaters
Love it one of my favorite things, I love every cheap veggie as it's what I grew up eating al my childhood.
Brassica veggies (kale, cabbage, broccoli) give me gas, so I avoid them.
I prefer kale to lettuce any day. In burgers, in salads, everything.
I prefer cabbage - 🥬 🤤 it looks more shapely around the rear
it's edible not my first choice :D
I love kale and veggies in general, the only veggie I hate is boiled carrots
Its ok.. I think i only had them as chips - lighty salted
Yeah, and the late J. J. Cale was a he**uva guitarist !!!
I like the bitter flavor.
Kale chips are fantastic.
I do not like it, but it is a plant that should be eaten because it is healthy.
I like it but I do not love it. However that dish does look delusional
I definitely prefer other leaves...
Yes a very good vegetable I like it
My bearded dragon likes it
I kinda like it, especially in colcannon.
