  Okay, I'll tell you. It's looks ordinary. Because it's a very simple bread to make, and there is no need to exaggerate. How delicious can bread made with just spices and dried fruit be? I suggest you try pastries that are harder to make but taste better. Then you'll understand the big difference.

  Perhaps for someone who creates pastry, but my baking experience goes as far as cookies you buy prepared for the oven. Although I have watched many, many of Mary Berry and Paul Hollywoods baking shows and can appreciate all it takes to work the many layered pastry.

  I understand, but you don't necessarily have to make it yourself. There are a variety of delicious pastries in bakeries, both savory and sweet. Why would anyone eat just plain bread? Personally, I find it appropriate to only consume bread with meals.
