Have you seen a McDonald's hamburger lately?

About the size of a silver dollar. In their advertising pictures it reaches the edges of the bun and looks quite a bit thicker.

I have always had a huge chuckle with their advertising. I would see an ad for the breakfast sandwich, stupidly run through a McD drive through for a bagel, bacon, egg, cheese and they looked nothing like the ad. Hard to find the bacon, not sure what the egg was and only thing that exceeded the with of the bun was the cheese slice.

My restaurant/bar opens at 11:30 am daily and I would order in bagels and eggs and have the early cooks make a couple dozen bagel, egg, cheese, bacon sandwiches wrapped in foil and put under warmers for the first in staff to have coffee and sandwich before starting work. They appreciate that and say so often.

It's interesting to note the difference between promotional images and the real thing. 📸 Fast food chains often use advertising techniques to make their products look more appealing. I remember my first street burger in Osaka; it was a visual masterpiece and perfectly delivered on its promise in taste and size. Fast food burgers, while convenient, often sacrifice presentation and freshness. 🍔

I don't even think it's ar real cost factor. 50g meat more are compared with processing and transport costs marginal. They want you order more food 3 instead of 2 of their scam burgers.
MCD food is already very unbalanced due lack of proteins and high amount of hardened fats like palm oil products. Less meat won't do this balance better.

Its all absolute SHT , fast food is not food , there are some things you must never ingest , anything from the likes of this company must always be on that list..

As cigarette warnings say " Kill Others " , let those stupid enough to put this stuff in their bodies put themselves on this death list. Completely non consumable thrash , its never ever ever.

It's because American law doesn't cover false advertising. People have tried suing before and have always lost. Essentially they can put a turd in a bun and the courts will back them.

I feel fast food chains eventually are going to shut down. Between them bring unhealthy, overpriced, and small portions they are losing big business already. If a company could come up with healthy food in small portions that isn’t overpriced (like various salads, sandwiches) I would definitely buy those on nights when I can’t cook or get home late.

Lol that's sad. But if you buy one and get a phone call as your opening it up and let it sit on the table for a moment. It might shrink up a little bit more.
But the whole hamburturn.
Turns into a petrified burger.
They can be used as a doorstep. Because.

As for me I haven’t been to McDonald’s in a long time & what you see isn’t always what you get especially nowadays. As for McDonald’s it’s pretty bad if the Hamburglar won’t even eat there.

Yep, the price hikes and shrinking quantity / quality of food have forced me to eat healthier by cooking at home more. I hate eating healthy. The 2 sausage egg & cheese mcmuffins for 4$ with half of a hash brown stuffed in each was my guilty breakfast meal for a long time. Sad times we're in.

No. It's probably been at least a couple years. Since I had McDonald's. It doesn't surprise me though. They pay the same prices we do (so to speak). They can't raise prices anymore really. So they have to go the way of "shrinkflation" to get the numbers to jibe.
