i was a cook once and i would have another cook work with me sometimes for an hour one day. and i met this cook. and he said that is not true. you have to first put the microwave on a plate first. he proceeded to show me this. and it worked!

i didn't mean to put the microwave on the plate. that's crazy. i meant that if you have to put a foil dish in a microwave you have to put it on a plate. it can't touch the sides when it spins or it will short the microwave.

Like sticking a knife in an electrical outlet I’m sure sparks were flying in the microwave. As for me knock on wood I haven’t yet. When I was a kid my grandfather left foil on a tv dinner & after sparks started flying I learned something new that day.
