I refuse to try balut egg. It's a fertilized egg with basically a chicken or duck fetus inside. Then it's steamed and eaten with the bird inside. I just know I wouldn't enjoy this.

It's probably delicious, but it's also quite grotesque. I'd give it a pass. I usually TRY a relatively normal food once, so I know I don't like it.
Dislike macaroni and cheese. Something about the noodle: it's greasy compared to others. And the excess of fake cheese (or even real cheese) is too much. I can't eat soft cheeses anymore, either. So double whammy.
There's also giant stinky flower from somewhere in the jungle, it's a bright red with white speckles, that might be a delicacy somewhere. And that black beetle nut that stains your teeth. I think it gets you. high, but the black teeth! Ewww.
So, I'd say textures, contents and odors are what make folk NOT like a food. The four items previously mentioned fit those categories as somewhat repulsive.
The texture would be all wrong in those eggs, I can't imagine it's a nice mouth feel.
I've never fancied octopus for the same reason
Yuck, a duck fetus. I saw a TV show this morning that had a revue of s French Restaurant. They had a specialty that was hamburger but it was smothered in some kind of sauce that had all kinds of stuff in it tht I knew i would hate. I commented that they can screw up a hamburger.
My wife had balut for dinner today. It's her favorite. That balut is too many days for me but I can do 14 day balut. That balut looks at least 18 day. I've eaten enough weird food that I can eat anything as long as I've seen someone else eating it first
Balut is definitely one of those culinary experiences that challenge even the most adventurous eaters. It's intriguing how different cultures embrace diverse tastes and textures. Personally, I have a hard time with surströmming, the fermented herring from Sweden. The intense aroma is quite overpowering for me, and I haven't been able to build up the courage to try it. Such foods really test the boundaries of our taste buds! 🌍✨

Real Asian fish sauce. It's disgusting as bird or mammal embryos.
That just looks way too sad to eat in my opinion. I mean, just look at the little duck.
I know right? Plus, what is the point of waiting for it to be like forming in order to eat it? I don't get it.
surströmming... a very stinky fermented Baltic herring... Swedish delicacy... :D
I am a vegan so virtually anything that you find disgusting, I'll probably find more disgusting
Tappenoki (squid in a bubble)
I'm not eating gooey baby squid in a bubble. Freankin shark wouldn't even eat that... blech!

Definitely Rocky Mountain Oysters.
F. Y. I Rocky Mountain Oysters aren’t oysters.
Word from the wise, if you ever find yourself at a restaurant & they’re on the menu & your friends order them don’t eat them first because after they start laughing you might be running for the bathroom after they tell you what they really are.
Rocky Mountain Oysters are bull testicles.
Ewwwwwwwww!
@On_cloud_wine I’m assuming you had them before?
Lmaooo oh crap I choked on my tea 😂
@Static_In_The_Attic you used such a cute pic to represent some bull balls
Every picture tells a story & unfortunately this one doesn’t have a happy ending especially for the bull.
No thanks!
As for my profile photo it does have a story & I can assure it has nothing to do with Rocky Mountain Oysters.
👍👍👍
Most of new foods, I’m picky eater. I only eat what i like or used to eat.
Oh my, that is so sad. I eat poultry but at least let it grow to its full potential.. and live a little first.. never even knew about about egg.. I refuse to eat veal (baby cow) not that I wouldn’t like it.. but yeah same reason 😭
What kind of idiot would eat this egg? It's disgusting and scary.
It has to be something I haven't tried? I might go with your option cause ew bro. 😂
I can't answer the question after seeing that pic. Im glad I ate dinner hours ago.
