I first made it in 2007, during the summer between my freshman and sophomore years of college. My parents had a church dinner or some other function that evening and didn't have time to make it themselves. My mom handed me the recipe and basically said "here, make this for us. We need it in three hours. Good luck with that." Okay, maybe not THAT succinct, but it was still pretty last-minute...
