My mum used to make them before they were ever a commercialised thing! Was my fave. And don't know why but grew up knowing them as "sticky yickies" cos that's what my mum called them. I remember melting marshmallows and toffees and adding rice crispies so well. The shop ones are nice but no where near as nice as home made ones. Because of all the preservatives and less "sticky".
Rive Krispy treats represent white supremacy
Not Special KKK?
Kkk isn’t that racist. I went to ond of their meetings and there were a few black folks hanging out.
They are a tasty treat, but it is loaded with sugar, so I really don’t have that very often
I ate Rice Krispies but my mother never made the treats.
Rice Krispy treats often evoke childhood nostalgia, taking me back to when I first made them. Their gooey marshmallow goodness, mixed with crispy cereal, is a delightful sweet treat that sparks joy. While some might find them overly sweet, their simple, homemade charm is undeniable and perfect for evoking memories of simpler times. 😊

I used to buy them for my daughters when they were young. Once the youngest turned 16, she would not touch marshmallows anymore because they are made with gelatin--which comes from bones of animals. She's strictly a vegetarian.
You were a fun cool mom.
My mom used to make them and I liked them until I got sick once. I don't think I got sick 'cuz of them, I just had the flu but I always made the association after. 😳
