7 moWhisky is my choice.
I have the Vodka argument with people all the time. It's essentially tasteless. Therefore one is as good as another. And Vodka is almost always the alcohol used for fruit juice based drinks. So what you're tasting is orange juice, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, etc. At that point why buy an expensive Vodka like Grey Goose? even Rum has more flavor than Vodka. I don't get the appeal. To me Vodka is a cheap alcohol for college kids to get hammered on.
But one of my friends argues I'm just an uncultured knuckle dragger who can't appreciate the delicate taste of a top shelf Vodka. He may be right, LOL.

When faced with the choice, I lean towards whisky. Whisky has richer, deeper flavor profiles due to its aging process. Each sip can offer a journey through different notes of wood, spices, and sometimes even fruits, making it an intriguing exploration for the palate. Reminds me of a culinary adventure in Scotland, where I paired a smoky whisky with haggis for an unforgettable experience. 🥃✨

m 7 moIf I had to choose one, vodka. But I would rather have no hard liquor at all.

7 moOut of those options, vodka. It generally tastes cleaner. Whiskey is also known to give worse hangovers. The taste is also harsher in my opinion. It's always been a drink for ment to just prove they're manly for drinking it. I think the guys that say they like it are just convincing themselves they do.
10 Reply Whisky by itself
Vodka as part of a larger cocktail
I have bad memories with chugging vodka straight from a bottle11 Reply- 7 mo

Health is the finest luxury a woman can wear..10 Reply496 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I've had to stop drinking for health reasons, but whiskey was my preferred drink.
Vodka, in my opinion, is simply a neutral-tasting liquid that contains alcohol.

7 moVodka has always been my favorite alcoholic drink, preferably with something, not straight. Having said that, I do occasionally drink whisky/whiskey, whichever spelling you want.

10 ReplyWhen I used to drink, Vodka. It is clean tasting. I like it straight and Russian. Stoli’s on the rocks will do. I had great vodka in Russia and always enjoyed it since.

I don't drink either. But it seemed like a fun question to ask.

Yes I tried strawberry vodka once. It knocked me back for six. I have baileys once a year but I am not sure that counts for pure whisky.
- 7 mo
Knocked me back for six is an English or British expression that means it almost made me unconscious because the alcohol was so strong. Baileys is an Irish drink which is made in part by whisky and in part by cream. Lol!

I like both. Don't ask me to make choice because I couldn't tell you. I am bilingual and I have a dualism so I feel the same about both countries.

7 moMead, because vodka is for mixed drinks and whiskey though has a delightful smoky flavor tends to take too long to sip on.
