Which food cuisine is better?

I live in Houston. A few miles from Mexico. Most of my friends and neighbors are Mexican. Their food is bland and tasteless. Just cheese salt and hot sauce.

They both have great dishes, but I prefer Italian. It's more intricate, wider variety of flavors.
