Trending & News I LOVE certain spicy foods!
I discovered Gochujang sauce, thanks to a GAG member. I put it on burritos and Mexican food. It's 1000x better than other hot sauces that are always thin and vinegary.
I love spicy Thai panang curry.
I LOVE Korean seafood soup and dwaeji bulgogi (thinly sliced, marinated pork) when they are super spicy. I used live near an authentic Korean restaurant that was amazing.
Indian food can be spicy. I used to work near a small Indian restaurant. Over time, they got to know me and the chef got me dialed in. I would order their non-vegetarian thali and eat it in my car. It included a piece of tandoori chicken, some naan, and five side dishes in cups. One of the side dishes was a soothing yugert sauce. One was tamarind sauce. But the chef would make the other three so spicy that I was sweating, my nose was running, and tears were running down my face. And it wasn't just spicy. It was delicious. The chef used chili oil, not red pepper flakes, to adjust the spiciness.
There used to be a Mexican restaurant chair called Rubio's that had seafood tacos and burritos. They had a salsa bar with the best salsas. One of them was super spicy.
I like a some kick in my food, but not anything to the point where my tongue burns, I cry, my nose runs, and it feels like I'm shitting fire from my ass the next day.
I love spices in Thai food. I like some chilli flakes in a Bolognese pasta and sprinkle it on quite a few other dishes. I like a couple banana peppers in my burgers occasionally, when I'm feeling in the mood for something with a little heat.
But I don't go over the top with it. I want enough where I can taste it. Not enough to burn myself and sweat till I feel like I'm in a swamp.
Spices should enhance the flavor of the food, not overwhelm it. The problem with saying you like "spicey" food is the level of spiciness, and that also changes from person to person.
But if a food is so hot it's burning your tongue and you cannot taste the food for the spiciness and heat, then the spicy is over the top.
Yes I love spicy food. Even though my intestines are telling me a different story nowadays, depending on what the spice and it’s heat level is. In general I still have to have a spicy food a day as my metabolism demands.
Spicy food is a thrilling adventure for the taste buds. Each dish offers a unique balance of heat and flavor, creating an electrifying experience. During a trip to Thailand, I discovered the exciting harmony of spices in the local street food, where each dish told its own story. The fiery heat always keeps me curious and eager for more! 🌶️🔥

Spicy in the sense of tasting spices yes, not in the sense of insanely hot.
Spices are abominations direct from hell only demons and devils use them.
It's hard to answer whether I enjoy spicy foods overall, because spiciness exists on a scale, so "spicy food" means different things to different people. Based on what *I* consider to be spicy, though, yes, I like it. It just gives something an extra kick. It's kind of stimulating.
(I've heard we like spicy foods because spicy plants produce spice to ward off anything that might eat it, but that also meant they were safe for *us* to eat because they had no microbes, so after eating it for long enough we naturally evolutionary-psychologically evolved a taste for it, but I'm not sure about that... it's hard to imagine we wouldn't just like it because the strong sensation is stimulating.)
I used to be very sensitive to spicy foods, but then I discovered I like the taste of sriracha so much that I started putting it on everything despite the fact that it was so hot it would hurt. Then eventually, I got used to the heat, and now I can eat spicy things with no problem. But not *too* spicy. I tried some special hot ramen noodles that I found in my niece's old bedroom, and there were literal tears dripping down my face.
(That reminds me of a story I once heard about a boy who ordered something really spicy at a restaurant and ate it, tears were rolling down his face and I think he was crying, and his girlfriend said he didn't have to finish it, but he replied, "YES I DO!" This seems to illustrate the psychological ordinance to be manly that's drilled into males' heads by their peers while growing up. Also, I wonder if there's a "good" reason for that: maybe his girlfriend would have been less attracted to him if he hadn't eaten it because it's less masculine, despite her plea that he didn't have to if he didn't want to.)
I spice up almost everything. I almost always have fresh peppers and spicy salsas in my kitchen. I’m still discovering some of the spicier Asian dishes.
I like my food much hotter than most people, as long as there’s good flavor too. I can’t get enough because most of the really hot sauces are sold in tiny bottles. I recently discovered a company that sells some of their hotter sauces in one gallon bottles. 🥳🎊🎉
I bought a couple of variety packs to get a taste of everything they had available. Hopefully they’re good and the ones that come in giant bottles are hot enough for my palette. That would be glorious!
I think people generally confuse spicy with that feeling of heat that generally people experience, but there are quite a few spicies that are used for flavor. Cumin , coriander , turmeric , sumac , cardamom, fennel … and so on.
I use so many spicies In food I prepare as without them food is largely bland and pretty horrible
So overall I NEED spices and enjoy spicy food but that doesn’t mean so hot I can’t taste it , it pretty much means well seasoned and tasty 😋
I like spicy food, but not all the time, and not if it's too spicy.
My wife, on the other hand, loves really spicy food. We usually have to compromise and meet somewhere in the middle. You married guys will know that means I have to learn to eat food much spicier than I like 😉
As for me I like food with a little kick & please note I said little kick however if it’s spicy to the point where your asshole is burning NO THANKS.
Love spicy food. Growing up in a mixed family our food was always very well seasoned. I'm in a long term relationship with a Nigerian man who never complained about my cooking. We love spicy food.
Yeah, I can eat whole raw chili in a bite when eating something.
Which? “Chili” is a category of peppers that includes dozens of peppers from mild to absolutely torturous.
Habanero is about the spiciest i can eat raw, but i don’t much like the flavor. Jalapenos and serranos are delicious, but some are definitely overly mild for me. I have had very spicy jalapenos and serranos, and they are just delightful grilled!
Still haven't found anything hotter than a ghost pepper but it's still good
Spicy food is so delicious! I don’t think I can live without eating it.
I like it moderately spicy, not extremely.
I like Indian, Mexican, and Chinese cuisine.
Of course, I like Italian too, but they don't use so much spices.
Oh yeahhh like we say in mexico if it's not spicy food tastes like nothing
Very much, though I notice as I age, I easily get diarrhea from it.
It burns my mouth. I can't put anything spicy in my mouth.
Love it. 90% of all the food I make is spicy.
For us spices are part of meal, without it meal looks incomplete, so it's yes for me
What is an overall standpoint? Compared to what other kind of standpoint?
I know someone would say it depends, so I was trying to be specific, because I know people don't like all spicy food, it can depend on what it is. So overall standpoint just meant do you like spicy food as a whole
No thanks. Me and spicy food don't get along very well.
Yes, but not like spicy like "devil's anus" spicy. I like my spice mildly spicy.
They say people that like really, really spicy food actually have no tastebuds.
I add hot sauce to my catchup if that tells you anything
Especially Mexican
No, I never liked it.
I like them, yeah
Up to about 2,000 Scovilles, I'm good.
I’ll take spicy. Awesome!
To a certain extent
LUV IT
