The only reasons I can think of is if someone likes tinkering and trying stuff like that, or they are totally off-grid and want to make their own fuel.

A number of years ago I looked into converting a car to alcohol and making a still to make my own fuel. It's quite feasible, but not too practical. I don't know if it would still work with modern computer controlled fuel injected cars.

The vodka would need to be 100 proof or higher to burn at atmospheric pressure. That's the definition of 100 proof.
