Chocolate rice crispies or cornflake clusters?

As a wee child your mother probably sat you in the kitchen with a big bowl of melted chocolate and a box of breakfast cereal. There, you made either cornflake clusters or rice crispies clusters to your hearts content and she spent 6 hours cleaning the mess mumbling ,"how the fks she got it on the ceiling."

And let's be honest, when a recipe calls for feuilletine most of us use crushed cornflakes.

So which is best?

You are absolutely right, my Mum used to make the cornflake chocolate cakes, but I didn't have a hand in making them.

We were a cornflake family, though I did have rice crispies a few times.

Never. I didn’t have my first Rice Krispies treats until i was an adult. I made them with marshmallows instead of chocolate. I had a girlfriend who made “no bake” cookies with chocolate and oatmeal.

we used to get snacks that were exactly that... chocolate covered corn flakes
