What American foods should footballers and fans try during the world cup?

The picture, which I'm sure is legit, is because my mate sent it to me, shows the England football team a week after landing in the USA.

The thing is, you can get fried chicken and burgers anywhere, and we Europeans have sophisticated palates and wish to satisfy our taste buds, sampling the exquisite gastronomical delights from the other side of the globe.

So point us in the right direction, which morsels will fill our mortal soul, what foods should the football fans feast upon?

@Iron_Man. Put it this way, I don't hate them. I've never eaten at at Taco Bell, so couldn't comment. I've eaten at a Waffle House a grand total of twice, it's just typical breakfast food which is hard to screw up. I'll eat at Wendy's once in a while; if I'm going to eat a fast food burger, I'd much rather have one of Wendy's.

I have never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A or a Zaxby's either. Overall, I do my best to avoid fast food since there are so many other places to sit down and eat around here.

That’s cool. I like Chick-fil-A. They have good thick chicken sandwiches good protein tasty I feel healthy when I eat there the chicken sandwiches by themselves. Taco Bell’s not too bad the beef Chalupa’s The all steak. I like all of them pretty much, but I know they’re not good to eat all the time. I’m not familiar with Zaxby's. Of course there’s nothing like good home-cooked meals or good fine restaurant

Laughable. I have travelled more than anyone you know I would wager. For starters, all 7 continents. I have had amazing food in Brazil, India, Japan, Russia, China, and so much more. This year I will cross over 50 countries having visited as I am in the mid to upper 40s now… it has been a while since I did a country trip as some countries that I visited are no more and new ones have been named for the same territory. I have been to Europe about 70 times other continents multiple times for the most part.

In the next 12 months I will be in Africa twice, Europe twice, through the island of north and south Pacific, New Zealand and Australia again.

I hate on the US because it used to be a helluva country. You can do better but you can't see what's going on around you. I know what tastes good and I listed them in my post. A Popeye’s chicken sandwich is better than Chicken Schnitzel in Germany even though I like getting it there.

Brussels and Rome have the best food overall unless you want to pay Paris prices. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like a good cheesesteak or Po’ Boy. I don’t have to cross international borders to get them but that shouldn’t be relevant.
