Espresso. High pressure and higher brewing temperature dissolves oily particles out of coffee powder easier, shorter contact time with the powder while brewing reduces bitter aromas. Dissolved with milk is Espresso always better than filtered coffee.

Nevertheless I like both methods of making coffee. Espresso is just more comfortable with full automatic coffee machines made by Philips or DeLonghi.

Espresso is brewed , just brewing under pressure so perhaps you mean filter where it’s still brewed but via gravity.


The only coffee I don’t do is instant , it’s vile. I sometimes have it via french press ( usually work ) at home via a bean to cup type machine or sometimes via filter pot if I’m making for myself and guests and feeling a bit lazy


I typically have a long coffee / americano , espresso ( more often ) or a cappuccino if I want a milky coffee. I’ve experimented with other coffee drinks like ristretto , affogato etc and while they are nice for a change my regulars stay the same

Brewed coffee 95% of the time. Generally Cafe Bustelo dark Espresso roast. It's just easier and faster. Espresso I keep as a sometimes treat when I'm out and maybe having dessert. The bitter Espresso really helps balance the sugary stuff to keep me from getting grossed out by the sweetness.

I would have to say fresh brewed coffee for me. Espresso is too strong for me personally. I actually prefer iced coffee from Starbucks. There is one on the way to work that I usually stop at if it isn't jammed packed, which it often is. They make it fresh even when iced.

I prefer the coffee I make in my French press. I use the best quality, mountain grown, organic, dark roast coffee.

I like espresso but wouldn't want to drink a 12 oz cup.

Expresso. There are a lot of technicalities in good coffee and expresso is better for it.
