yes... we do cook a lot, in my family and it's a big part of the holidays

what do I like to make the most? that really depends... if we're talking about the result and the taste, or if we're talking about the actual process of cooking, lol

the things that require more attention to the details and multi-step processes, those are the ones I enjoy the most... for example, BBQ, grilling the pit fire, these are things that have to be precise... and I do enjoy that a lot... it's kind of relaxing

and then, for taste... there are things like mole sauce, when trying some of the more elaborate ones, then you get both... a fun experience as you make it, and a great tasting experience at the end... moreso if you're trying to go for a different twist on it, which you sure can

then you have things like paella... which can be very tricky and quite easy to ruin it, if you just don't do it well every step of the way, lol

I actually like that way of looking at cooking. There’s something satisfying about having to pay attention to every little step and then getting a really good result at the end. You've convinced me you can handle the complicated savoury stuff but what about desserts and cakes? Can you actually bake too or is that where your kitchen skills end? 👀

I know that I can, because I've done it before... just the basics though and, through the years, I have tried a different things with friends, with relatives... like my aunt who actually was a baker

but I would definitely not say I can bake because I was never consistent about it and I don't have enough practice at all, lmao... I know that I could follow a recipe quite well but I am not as resourceful at it

and by that, I mean... whenever I am cooking or grilling, I know how to fix things, adjust stuff... and how to try different ways but in baking, nope... just the mere basics, lol

Yeah, I get what you mean 😂 With cooking, you have a lot more freedom to adjust things as you go and fix them if something isn't quite right while baking seems much less forgiving. Still, I was hoping you’d say you can make churros 🥺😂
