Tuesday is #InternationalMensDay perhaps you're a man or perhaps you know someone who's a man or identifies as a man. Well the day is all about women making men happy and as we all know what makes men happy is food.

Being food oriented creatures they're easy to please especially since men only eat six things. So this mens day what are you cooking for a man?

I've just popped a shoulder of lamb in the Dutch Oven and covered it in a blend of lemon juice, garlic, herbs and seaweed. It's going to cook low and slow for four hours until all the collogen has melted into a sumptuous goo.

I like the tougher parts such as shoulder or shank, they take longer to cook but hold more flavour and unlike the quick cook bits you can't really mess them up.

So do you prefer quick cook meat or slow?

Todays lunch is garlic bread with melted cheese and a side portion of tomatoey stuff. I like garlic bread and the garlickier the better, but do you?

Last night's supper was a quick "bung stuff in a pan and hope for the best" soup consisting of roughly chopped carrots, onions, parsnips, celeriac, kale, and chorizo, cooked hard and fast in a garlicky broth.

As much as I like pies, chips, cakes, icecream and pizza, most of my diet consists of healthy meals like this. I reckon less than 20% of my meals would be considered junk food. Some would say that's too high.

So be honest, roughly how much of your diet is based around junk or fast food?
