Polls: Food & Beverage

A Yorkshire pudding is a common British food not too dissimilar to an American pop over. They are usually a side dish on a Sunday roast.

But there are places that have turned them into burritos as shown in the pics. But would you eat one?

For elevenses today, I partook in a cup of coffee a plate of garibaldi biscuits. Now Garibaldi biscuits aren't exactly the best selling biscuit in shops, but I like them.

This Alcohol question was inspired by @purplepoppy 's Alcohol question, If GAG was a pub what would it be called? 'cuz Alcohol questions are just fun and awesome and intoxicating! And I was gonna' post this last nite but I might have been drinking Alcohol! Yay!

Anyways, I posted a question about Alice and Dorothy not too long ago but in my imaginative state yesterday I began to wonder what would happen if these two legendary icons met in a pub and had a drinking contest? Yay!

But, who would win that one? On one hand you've got posh , proper Alice who might seem like a teatotaller but like she hasn't gotten into her parents Gin and all that and you've got to be pretty hardcore to handle that shit, so, who knows. Not to mention the English seem to know how to handle their liquor. And add in Alice's tendencies towards "holistic experiences" and the girl might just be able to hold her own without tossing her cookies all over the pub floor. I mean she was able to toss down a few with the Mad Hatter and still walk away with scarce a stumble. Even if she wasn't quite sure who she was for awhile.

And now we have girl-next-door Dorothy who at first glance might appear innocent but come on, she lives on an isolated farm in Kansas. Like they don't have a shed full of homemade corn liquor and like she hasn't sampled the product while working at their farm stand. There's a reason she was laying in that field of poppies for awhile. BUT country girls can handle their liquor as well. (Don't ask me how I know) I mean she did put down the Wicked Witch with a big bucket of liquid and still managed to get home and remember everything. Even if she did wreck a house and had a headache for awhile.

So, I'm pretty sure a binge between these two would definitely be an all nighter or two with a bar tab totaling in the thousands BUT who would actually be the last girl standing?

And so I ask, Who would win this epic drinking contest?

Ok, so like , soon I have to make a fancy dinner party for some fancy folks who are from away and not really familiar with our fine culinary customs in these parts.

I'm already planning on using my best paper plates and plastic cutlery AND I even bought a brand name ketchup instead of the generic brand. AND I even washed my best overalls and shined up my rubber boots! Am I just the epitome of etiquette or what?

But now I am left with the dilemma of which delicacy to actually serve them? I mean besides the 7 or 8 bottles of homemade wine we will drink before we even get to the meal, which is also culinary customs in these parts.

And so, I turn to you once more, dear G@G community, as I ask, How do I impress dinner guests?

Which main course will give my guests a feast they will never forget!

The only time I eat sandwiches is when I'm elsewhere and just need something quick and easy or I'm at a party and there's plates of little sandwiches. Although I sometimes eat bread with meals I rarely make a sandwich at home.

I made chicken tacos tonight, but my favorite is Al pastor all the way. What about you?

When I think of a burger, I think of a ground beef patty in a bun with cheese, salad etc. However you can get pork patties, lamb patties, chicken patties, even vegetable patties etc. But are these actual burgers or something else?
