I think some of your points are really good. Being supportive and encouraging is an important part of being a good partner, and being tactful is generally way more beneficial than the alternative. I don't understand why some people insist that it's wrong to tell your partner that they look good even when they're having a bad hair day, etc. That kind of "lie" is just part of being polite and making someone who you care about feel good. Plus, when you love someone, they can look good to you even when they have a pimple or bags under their eyes.

But I don't think it's a good idea to lie about your taste in music, TV shows, or pets. That doesn't mean you have to be critical or judgmental about her preferences- being honest doesn't require being rude. If you don't like a show that she loves, just tell her it's not up your alley, and find another show that you can both enjoy. You don't want to tell her you love The Office when you actually hate it and then end up with the box set in your stocking at Christmas. If you're not fond of her pet, say something like "I'm just really not a cat person, but I'll try to make friends with yours if I can". That way she'll understand if you're not best buds, but still appreciate the effort and considerate attitude.

"Honesty" and "Lying" are two different issues. You can be honest with your partner and still lie to them. In fact, that's necessary for any healthy relationship, love, work, family, friends. It's oil in the gears. It's only heinous if you're lying for your own selfish benefit, or to hurt the other person. But, you wouldn't expect that in a healthy relationship, would you? Otherwise, it's not healthy.

Women are not all the same, but many of them are neurotic. A fact, not an opinion. Such women--not all--do NOT want the truth, in any shape or form, they want to feel good, to feel wanted, to feel "loved". Absolute truthfulness is not part of the equation. If your intentions are honest, you mostly won't have to lie anyway, but it is sometimes necessary. In car parlance, the girl doesn't want to look under the hood, she just wants to drive the car.

Team efforts requires cooperation. In terms of marriage for example it should be give and take. Well as I always say, there is always something that appears and may be a red flag in for example a relationship about someone. But sometimes it's not the case. For example the guy gets married to the woman. The woman all of a sudden cuts her hair really short one day and then starts letting herself go. Or for instance you have a safe of money stored in your basement. A cousin of yours is having a two week sleepover. Everything is cool until the two weeks are gone. You go to the safe to take out $100 to purchase a blender and you notice that all the money is gone. Nothing is black and white. Just varies by the situation.

Give or take a bit.

What I'm saying is that most women -- like, the VAST majority of women -- are, deep down inside, hardwired to be submissive. Not to everyone in the world, obvs, but to their man. And THAT is sub-conscious.
