Idk, I have done it since I was 14 (yeah I know it was pretty young). Anyway i am still a virgin and my more "experienced" friends were talking and saying how they would never do such a thing. Is it really that bad to do it?

Your friends may be lying. Not all girls do it, but definitely most do or have done it. If you admitted it to them, some of them might come out and be honest about it.

The only way I can see it being harmful is if you do it so obsessively that you don't hang out with people or do anything productive (I don't think that happens very often) or if you use an object in a dangerous way and have to go to the emergency room (but saying you shouldn't masturbate because of that is like saying you shouldn't jog because you might get heatstroke).

In short, no, you're fine, and your friends will realize sooner or later that they're reasonlessly prejudiced against it.

Were they saying that to guys? Don't listen to what other girls say to guys - we are always lying. If they're saying that you, idk. They aren't the majority though

Never something "bad" to do, it's a natural stress reducer. It's good for you to do and 14 isn't young aha I started at 12. It's not bad, in fact, it's VERY natural and NORMAL for you to do over yourself as a woman and I bet those friends are telling you a few lies and are embarrassed to admit that they do. So please do not feel u are doing anything working as you are not. Lots of girls do it and it's a natural part of growing up and self exploration - there is lots on the Internet about it  so if you can , go on a decent female website that gives you  info you about it.
