my idiot friend told my crush that i like her and he said that she said that something about me being cute. but he might have been lying though i do think she likes me. do i talk to her? how? how long? and I'm a little shy but i can go up to her and talk when she's alone

p.s she can't date till 16 and she's 14

I say go up to her when she's alone and talk to her about casual things. You don't have to bring up what your friend said. She knows. Just focus on building a friendship and flirt with her a little every now and then by complimenting her and giving her hello & goodbye hugs. She knows you like her so it's on her to show you if she feels the same. Maybe at a later stage you can bring up your feelings again but for now focus on giving her the opportunity to get to know you better.

Of course you should talk to her! Make casual friends with her and have flirty conversations to keep her interested. Get to know her but don't make really good friends with her, because if you do, she might not think of you as a love interest, but more as a friend.
