Girls: What is more of a deal breaker? A guy who is a little overweight or a guy who is balding?

We were having this debate in my office today and we were arguing over whether most women would go for a fit guy who was balding or has a bald spot, or a guy who is really good looking and relatively athletic, but has a belly and/or love handles but not super fat. What do you think? What about both? Deal breaker or is personality and the way he treats you more important?

From the comments so far I see that personality and the way he treats you seems to be most important. Interesting. (In a good way) I will be reporting the tallies so far at work tomorrow. Just to up ante, at first look, which one?

Sorry to clarify, we weren't talking about a guy that has a bozo hair pattern or anything. Just like we weren't talking a fat slob either. Just thinning hair or a small baldish spot, or a pretty athletic guy, but has a little belly on him, 25lbs over

My opinion is that it doesn't matter how the guy looks but what's in his heart and his values. I would go for a guy who will keep me active but bald, a little over weight or fit doesn't matter.

It differs from girl to girl.

Id rather the guy who is a little overweight because he can loose the weight with proper nutrition. Male pattern baldness is hereditary and dont want to pass it on to my kids. But if the overweight guy is a jerk, I choose neither, dont need guy do I?

Well both things can technically be fixed. I have a few friends that were going bald and started taking Propecia or Rogaine and got most of their hair back. So if you want to get down to it, you can fix both if you want to, but yes, weight is easier fixed.

Also, Contrary topopular belief a mans diet, and medication he is on affects the fetus. So, nope no man on meds.

I don't think it's popular belief that it wouldn't affect a fetus. I know for a fact certain medications a guy is on can affect the fetus. I don't think a topical solution like Rogaine would, but maybe the pills they take might. I don't know. Never taken it.

Absolutely. I couldn't agree more! A man's health n my opinion is just as important as the woman's. After all the thing that fertilizes the egg comes from the guys' balls!

Neither of them are really deal breakers if the both of them treat me right. But if I absolutely HAD to choose (for purely physical reasons), I would rather go with the overweight guy than the guy who's balding. It's easier to lose weight than it is to get your hair back.

I don't mind balding but I'd prefer for the guy to just go ahead and shave his head rather than hanging on the the few strands he has left, I also can deal with a bit of extra weight. If I'm attracted to him I don't really care. All guys aren't picture perfect and I'd accept his flaws. If I find him attractive and he treats me great he wins.

I'd go for the one I liked the most, I'm not choosing a slab of meat - I'd have to get to know them and see their real qualities, not just their flaws.

Remember, this is just for argument's sake. I hope most women would go for a guy who treats them well and is a nice guy, just like I'd go for a woman who was a truly amazing woman regardless of her complexion, weight, etc.

If I had to choose then it would be the guy is a little overweight. Not that I would care, but weight can be lost, hair can't be grown back once its gone from baldness.

I'd prefer the fat guy to the guy with the bald spot. The balding look is reeeeeeeeally unattractive. If this same guy were to just shave off what little hair he has left then it'd be a different story.

We weren't really talking about a guy with just a little hair left. But more a guy who either has a little bit of a bald patch or just thinning hair, but not totally bald by any stretch.

I would say balding, although I wouldn't consider that a deal breaker though. Too exaggerated.
I've liked overweight guys, one even fat, I don't think abs are everything, face matters more. 25 lbs over is really not that bad.

Neither are deal breakers! I don't really preffer a guy who is bald, it just turns me off, and if the guy has belly fat and he is willing to loose it and get a good body I wouldn't mind! Just my opinion!

One or the other would be the same to me. I think that you should try to look your best no matter your age. I'm in my '40s and I keep in shape. A guy can dye his hair, loose weight or whatever can help him be more attractive.

Weight is easily fixable. But even balding isn't so bad, as long as he shaves his head. I used to think it was, but then I saw Arjen Robben =P
