I'm kinda a "one-woman" kind of guy... Is that bad? At least right now?

I mean later in life when I'm with the love of my life, it would be GREAT, but I'm 18 and have never been in a relationship. Now what I mean by my question is that, I haven't really liked all that many girls over the years...

I mean I've liked a few, but I'll like one girl and she's the only girl I like. I've liked this one girl for like over a couple years now, and over that time, I've never really liked any other girls, maybe one 'here or there...'

I don't do too well with rejection so I guess I haven't really ever asked a girl out, kinda but not really.

I'm also kinda picky with the girls I like, so I guess what I'm trying to ask is if its a bad thing to be the way I am?

I know that once (or IF) I find someone, I'll be very happy. But under my conditions right now, is it bad to be a "one-woman" man?

Of course not! I'm a one boy type of girl in that sense, and I'm picky as well, but that sort of thing can't be changed if you know what makes you happy. What it's bad to be is to be letting your fear of rejection immobilize you. You sound like once you are in a relationship, you will be a loyal and loving partner. But why waste your time holding feelings for someone if you never plan to make a move? Society dictates that she probably won't move first, so I'm afraid you're going to have to suck it up and ask her out if you want something to happen. There's nothing wrong with asking friends for moral support or advice on how to ask, but keep moving. If you let your fear hold you prisoner, you will never experience the love you desire.

I'm kind of the same way as you. I don't think it's bad that you are that way at all, so I wouldn't stress over it so much. Just move at your own pace and you will be fine. When you find a girl that you really want to go out with, I'm sure you will find a way to pursue her. As for being picky, I think that's fine too, because that just means you know what you like. Everyone has their own certain standards.

No, not really. If you like one girl then that's find, but try asking that one girl out so your not wondering "what if". Believe in yourself and just remember the worst she can say is no. It be different if you liked this one girl and she rejected you and you still only like that one girl. So no to your question its find. And if your not ready to ask that girl out yet, try being friends with her first and get to know her before asking her out.

Anyways, being in the same boat as you I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just don't be pressured by others into a relationship.
