Why does a girl initiate text conversation then randomly stop replying?

There is this girl I am interested in and I think she has interest in me as well from the contents of her texts. She initiated the last text conversation so we started texting. After a couple of texts sent back and forth she just stopped replying. This is the second time this girl has randomly stopped replying. I'm pretty sure this girl has interest in me, but why does she do this?

My boyfriend does the exact same thing pretty much every day. I usually just assume that the last thing I said to him wasn't worth replying to, or he just needs to go to sleep or tend to other responsibilities before continuing the conversation. It definitely bothers me, but not enough for me to say anything so I just let it go

There are many reasons. Try asking her out on a date instead of texting. Texting someone is not going to get you further.

Maybe something came up, maybe she's busy, maybe she doesn't know what to say to you. The possibilities are endless.
