Why do girls with long hair put their hair on one side of their neck?

It is noticed that girls with long hair do push it to one side of their neck, why?

I do it because my hair goes down the back of my shirt, I don't know how it happens because it is really long but it's annoying. I'll either pull it to one side, braid it or break down and throw it up in a bun.

It's more comfortable like that, especially if it's hot outside. Long hair kind of feels like having a blanket over your head 24/7. It's nice to get it out of the way every now and then.

Usually because it's hot and we forgot to bring a hair tie. Sometimes it looks good that way. When we're bored, I guess it's something to play with?
