I know some women who literally never wear it down, and I have to wonder why. I know from experience, long hair equals work, sure. But not that much work.
If you literally never feel like putting in enough effort to just brush and let it down on occasion, or you don't like how it looks down, then I have to wonder why keep that much hair in the first place? Hair needs a break from ties and pins every once in a while too or it will cause creases and damage.
Most women seem to dislike shorter haircuts, but are content to always "throw it up" and forget it. Some are even asked to show what it looks like down because people have never seen it.
I just don't get why have all of it if you don't ever want to deal with it, or you are too self-conscious about what it looks like naturally? Is it just the societal thing where they feel expected to keep it regardless?
