Long hair on men more masculine?

So ladies is long hair on dudes (shoulder length or a little longer) more masculine? Can it bring out an awareness of masculinity more in the man? Also if it is more masculine why? Is it because he's more hairy and that's masculine? Or that he's more rugged?

I'm taken aback with hilarity how dudes post on these forums when they are intended for woman. Girls behavior is supposed to be answered by ladies. I don't give a little bit as to a dudes opinion.

Also, to all the girls claiming long hair isn't masculine: don't remember any women calling Thor girly each time a movie came out. Oh, and let's not forget the buckets of cream dispersed at the sight of Aragorn, Legolas, Khal Drogo, Ichabod Crane... I can go on for ages.

Majority of girls think long hair on guy = greasy and unkept. Sure, if you're dating some deadbeat stoner maybe. But your poor taste in men does not define a certain look, your prejudice mind does.

Some men look good with short cuts, some can pull off long styled. To say a man doesn't look manly with long hair because "girls are supposed to have long hair" is the most retarded argument I've ever heard. There was a time, when men had long hair, wore high heels and make up. Times change, clinging onto preconceptions is foolish, if you ask me. It's like living in an isolated bubble of stupid expectations.

I personally think long hair + beard makes a man look VERY masculine.

When its from ancient times like what I saw on movies, they look more manly... but when I saw long hair in actual men here at present, I don't see them as more masculine... I think it has something to do on how they look, how they act or their body build in relation to having long hair that makes them look more masculine or not...

I like short hair on men though... i even prefer military cut or semi-bald on them as it looks more neat and more masculine for me...

To me long hair on guys is like 1998 or so.
My guy wears his pretty short for now but he had a pony tail like in HS.
In the end I don't think hair is very defining. Clay Matthews linebacker for GB has super long hait for a guy and they don't come much more masculine than that.
R&R dudes still have a tendency to wear their hair longer too.
I think it is far more prevalent in the southern states.

Long hair is for the homeless, hippies, Fabio wannabes and sundry other tools. That is my view as a former soldier who has always been meticulous about his grooming.
As a dedicated student of Shotokan karate, I would like an opponent on the street to have long hair. It would provide a wonderful handle by which I could grab his head and slam his skull into the pavement, or carry out some other act of extreme violence upon his person. That is why the Japanese masters have shaved heads, or a crewcut. Long hair provides your enemy with an advantage, as well as causing you to look like a bum, or a drag queen.

Surely the olden times Japanese had long hair is samurai, much like many older more masculine groups like vikings. The samurai had long hair to show off while vikings had it purely for warmth.

Indeed shorter hair is far more sensible for any physical job or act such as fighting. I've never understood why people who do physical things still try to keep long hair.

Long hair on a guy is less muscular because long hair is suppose to be on a girl. It's just like short hair, short hair needs to be on a guy supposed to on a girl..

Short hair makes guys look more muscular.. Especially quiffs.
Long hang makes you seem kinda shabby, careless. Personally, i dont like guys with long hair

Well i don't have a photo of myself (i have long hair a little past my shoulders) but an actor and show he's on comes to mind: I don't watch the show because i think it's terrible ha but think Christian Kane on Leverage.

To a degree yes it is more masculine because men are not supposed to be so caught up on their looks but on the other hand modern society say its feminine but society are wrong on most things so I'd say it is quite masculine
