Why do men like long hair?

It looks nice, it smells good, it's soft, it's fun to pull :) , and quite frankly it's polar opposite to me. I have my hair buzzed at a zero on an electric razor short, clean, and prickly. Long wavy soft dark hair is sexy on a woman. Women are soft, men art rough. It’s good that way. :)

Not 100% but if looking in evolutionary sense, sign of health, long shiny hair, ability to keep hair healthy must portend well for having children. More feminine, glamorous etc maybe can I pull it or play with it during affection/sex. Who knows I like both short and long depends on the girl herself
