Why do men prefer long hair on women?

My theory is that every feature men find attractive about women is one that men generally don't have. Big hips, long hair, small waist, large bust, soft jawline, thigh gap, etc...
And the more obvious the difference, the more attractive it seems to be. Like smaller waists and longer hair = most attractive.

This is my THEORY in GENERAL.
