Why does long hair on men attract men but not women?

I guess men see it as a "rebellious" or manly thing to go against the norm. Or probably they appreciate how the man is being able to pull that off (cuz men usually have either receding hairline or more bony/bigger faces, pull of longer hair) I don't know..
For women, obviously in most case scenarios, it's the "masculine" conditioning / wordly standard for men to have short hair. But obv there are still who date men with long hair

It does attract us. The problem is men doesn't know how to take care of their hair so usually their hair looks unhealthy. At that point I would short hair instead of unhealthy long hair.

It is a good question actually.

I have to believe that it is because long hair is considered feminine in current culture. Women's hair is considered to be one of their most attractive features.

It seems to go against the usual explanation that it is the result of nature and evolution since males who were our evolutionary ancestors undoubtedly did have long hair. So you would think that would be natural and attractive to females or evolution would have designed men with short hair or no hair.

A possible theory is this. I am not so sure that sex has been voluntary for females in most of our evolutionary past. So it may not have made much difference whether men had long hair or were attractive to women or not. I think it is likely that males just took what they wanted when they wanted when it came to sex.

Interestingly there are a lot of depictions of that in illustrations of "cavemen" such as a man dragging a women by the hair and holding a club. That notion must have come from somewhere.

They certainly didn't take women out for romantic dinners and a movie. I think that one is pretty certain.

So it may not have made much difference if women were attracted to men or not with respect to the ability to procreate. More important was that men were attracted to women. And that also explains why men are so much more easily aroused by a woman's looks than women are about men.

Lmao, yeah, grew my hair out just for hockey aesthetics, and I swear a chick hasn’t looked in my direction since😂 Although I guess I get some love during the day because I wear it up and just have a wild mess of curls coming out of the top of a thick headband. Women will often tell me they “love my curls”, but it feels more like they wish they had them for themselves, not that it makes them attracted to me. Can’t recommend against long hair enough if you’re a single fella, I’d be absolutely dying out here right now😂😂😂

It depends on the guy. Some longish or even long hair styles can look rugged and manly. And some short haircut styles look gay af.

It depends on what kind of man a woman is after. Is she into urban chic consumerism or something else.

That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of masculine guys with long hair out there. But it doesn’t always work that way.

it attracts females if you got the right haircut or face shape for it for example dreads or locks whatever’s you wanna call them attractive a lot of women it can make a 5/10 man in terms of looks go up to a 7-8 a good haircut has a huge effect on how good you look if you think long hair doesn’t attract females they probably just don’t have the face shape for it
