Are one word text replies always bad?

Are one word text replies always the end of the conversation even if they reply with 'HAHAHA!' or 'Hahahaha' or 'That was really funny!'

I usually always stop messaging a girl if I only get one word but I was thinking maybe they can't think of what to say next so they leave it to me? Is that possible or no, not ever?

Usually if I leave it for like a month the girl will send me a message asking me how I am and then we continue but if she sends a one word reply even if it's good I just stop saying anything thinking they don't want to talk... :/

I'm a guy asking about girls haha and also they'll be really into the conversation having fun and stuff and if I say I'll talk to them in a bit - when I'm busy and can't talk they usually respond saying something like 'Okay!! make sure to!' or 'Yeah! Okay later then!' and then when I send them a message later they'll reply well and then say something like 'HAHAHA!' or Hahahaha to a joke I say then I usually take that as a sign that they don't want to talk with me so I just don't message back :P

Most of the time they are. When I see one word replies I take it to mean either:
* I don't know what else to say
* That wasn't very interesting
* I'm busy

Whatever the reason, unless I had something else really good to say, that is pretty much end of the conversation. I try not to think too much about it, because I did overthink things for a couple of months, but then I realised whatever I thought of it, my relationship with her seems to go on just fine. So I guess whatever I did works for her lol.

So for my case, it seems they're not bad at all.

Depends a lot on the girl! Sadly this is something you'll figure out only when you're successful with the girl. I. e. if you manage to chat with her over a couple of months, you'll realise what her texting pattern is like. But if you've been texting her that long already, chances are what you're doing works so you don't need to figure out anything at all..

Yeah it's kinda cyclical in cause and effect lol. Best option is just to chill and just stop the convo if it seems to be getting cold.

One word texts are generally speaking dead-ends. This is good if you don't like talking. This is bad if you realize that you have nothing else to say which in turn means that the convo is dead anyway but you deny it regardless because your genitals tell you otherwise.

Hahahaha nah mine are pretty well behaved :P it's just I think my genitals are the most pessimistic little (not so little) things ever because I always feel like I should end the conversation since I'm probably bugging the girl I'm messaging

Depends on many variables, are they busy, working, tired, is it typical for them to chat with few words, the word it self, do they like texting, (some guys hate typing long sentences or using voice command) the convo itself, the topic they are replying to etc.. I chat with someone who just texts that way but in person talks up a storm so single words are the norm sometimes.

Hmmm... it is a bit confusing to be honest :(( I usually don't take any chances and just stop messaging haha which I guess is even worse because you don't even know

One word texts usually mean the conversation is, at that time and for whatever reason, over. It is equal to being together and the conversation lapses. Doesn't mean you can't text the next day, just means that conversation train has reached the station and it's time to hop off :)

Oh... If I wanted to talk with that person again I'd wait for some special day or event to send a message haha like Happy Hanuka!! or Merry Christmas because I feel like if they didn't want to talk before then they probably don't feel like it the next day! :P I guess I just don't want to be the guy that messages everyday but have I taken it to a whole new extreme by messaging only every month or couple months hahaha?

Don't just stop texting them if they aren't saying much. Girls do that all the time. Guys, too. It's annoying when my guy does it but it doesn't mean anything "bad" it's just that there probably isn't much to say. Just change the subject to something you know they'll talk about.

But how can you tell if a girl wants to continue talking by you changing the subject or if she wants the conversation to end? I don't want tp be that annoying guy that keeps dragging on a conversation you don't want to be a part of haha - I've been there and it ain't pretty :P (to be fair the girls do message me first but I don't know :S) it's all very confusing to moi

Um... just read what I said the first time. Over and over. Until it makes sense.
If you're that worried about it, ask the girl you're talking to if they want to continue. It really isn't that hard.

I only say that when I'm bored and don't know what else to say... it doesn't mean anything else other than that. However if I just reply "k" then it means I'm really pissed off ^_^

Haha of course the 'K' message pretty much means you're dead :P However if I get a message like Hahaha then that means stop messaging? I mean I wouldn't really want to bore an already bored person that seems awful :O

If the conversation you had was quite long-ish then it's time to stop. However if it's already in the first 5 messages turning to "hahahaha" then you can definitely proceed the conversation and don't be afraid to ask her if she's busy with something when you sense she's not putting in much effort into texting. It should always be 50/50 and mutual.

My bf does that but he doesn't like texting, he's lazy so one word replies I don't really text back because I feel he doesn't feel like texting. I feel the same way like I'm inconveniencing him or something

The thing is they message me first and they seem into the conversation replying well and sending good length replies but then I'll say a joke and they reply with Hahaha so I just end it since I feel like I'm bothering them :S

Not really. If someone texts you a one word answer, it may mean they don't want to talk anymore.
