Is it really so easy to screw things up with just one text?

A week ago I met a girl while going out. She started hitting on me pretty aggressively and invited me over to her place for an after party. We ended up at my place instead due to convenience together with close to 10 people fro her group. After hanging out for some time, while the other people left, she decided to stay. We started making out and had a good time. After 2-3hrs she told me that she told me she had to leave cause she needed to get up early since her apartment was about to get renovated. She asked me to exchange numbers before she left.

Two days later I texted her I was going to the movies with a couple of friends and asked if she wanted to join. She told me she was a bit stressed because of oll the things she had to take care of with the apartment. On the weekend I asked her how things were going with the renovation. She sent me a picture of the construction sight and told me that was how the anteroom and the kitchen looked like. The room was a complete mess, so I texted her it wasn't so bad if it was only two rooms and she could actually invite me over.

It was actually meant as a bit of a joke and she told me she liked guys who act bold. Also I believe she said she wanted to show me her flat the night we met. Since then I haven't heard back from her. Is it really so easy to screw things up? Do you guys also experience being ghosted after one text a girl doesn't seem to like? It's not the first time this has happened to me, so that's why I ask. I wonder if it's just what dating looks like in 2022.
