Why are Attractive Dominican women so xenophobic and racist?

On Friday I went to a night club known as Agua Roja in Washington Heights. This was my first experience being in the club despite the fact that it was free. As there was a huge crowd with loud music playing, I approach Dominican women that happen to be attractive but I haven't receive a single response from them and completely ignore me. Then I stepped outside to have a conversation with two gentlemen. One of them was Dominican and the other one was Irish who happen to be mistaken for a latino. From What they told me, that club that I went to wasn't for me since I'm nice self respecting guy with standards and advise me to check out the ones on 42nd street. They mention that most Dominican women are gold diggers, they like guys that are hood, hustlers, and drug dealers and they don't date black guys especially if he decent and educated especially if comes from a good family. Not to mention that I was the only Black Caribbean there. But I also that Dominican women would go for white men even if he was ugly and Dominican Guys are far from racist and don't discriminate on women at all. But I'll say that Puerto Rican women alongside of men are very spontaneous and friendly. Trust me, i went to another Latin club on Inwood and this beautiful Puerto Rican worker was eager to talk me and had a short conversation especially about the way females treated me in the previous club that I have been to. The last club that I visited was a place named Tette, which has billiards next door. I talked to the Security guard at the front entrance about Dominican women in general and what he explain was relevant to what the Irish guy told me. He claimed that being with a Dominican women was stressful and wasn't worth it. He rather be in a relationship with a hot Jamaican women that he previous date than the woman that he's currently with. This is my question to Dominican women, why are most of you adverse of the idea of dating a black men? why are you so rude to most men in general?

the thing with our women is that most of them are really superficial and only want the best of both worlds and whatever is gonna benefit them in the long run. i myself am repulsed by my own women for these same exact reasons. so look at it from the bright side, feel lucky that you aren't in a relationship with a dominican women

I agree with you. I still think skin hue is indeed a factor. It has to be because those women were told since they were little to "further the race" ans that means getting it as white as possible and father away from dark as possible. I think that a lot of women are superficial. Who wants to be poor? Love doesn't pay the rent.

Clubs aren't the best place for not being incredibly shallow. They are for hooking up, and because of that personality doesn't matter. Whatever you have to bring to the table physically, that's what you're bargaining with.

Their culture tends to look down on African genetics even if many of them have it in their blood themselves. Whiteness is prized there. I have heard the guys are the same way except they would have sex with a black woman but not publicly date one.

They act the same way towards me and I'm Dominican (with light features). Also Dominican women get hit on in constantly by black males in NYC streets. Don't expect them to just forget all that when inside a night club. Dominican women like to be respected and feel comfortable, white men aren't hollering at them in the streets and thy tend to be more polite.

@CasaNorba Actually pr3ttybr0wn hit the nail on the head! Society is conditioned to view people of certain hues in certain ways. Humans do this consciouslyand unconsciously. It is passed down from generation to generation with with comments from friends and family members and is upheld by media. Look at how Dominicans treat their Haitian neighbours! Aren't we suppose to "Love" thy neighbour?

@wolfhead A grand generalization to say ALL black men have no manners and ALL white men are respectable? I think this is a stereotype perpetuated by media. The same media that tells those Dominican women to be white is better. This is the reason the gravitate towards white men and don't like black ones. There will always be exceptions who will not listen to their family members or media and date/marry who they wish.

The reason those Dominican women act towards you the same way they act towards black men is because neither of you are WHITE.

first off the feud between Dominican Republic and Haiti has nothing to do with skin color. you see most Haitians (not all) have been crossing our borders and committing tons of crime in our land and if you study the history of Dominican Republic you will discover that for a while now our relationship with Haiti has never been that great. we had countless of wars with them and we even once had a Haitian politic who somehow became the president of out land and not long after he became a dictator and slaughter a bunch of our people while making the others life a living hell.

so coming to the conclusion it has nothing to do with skin color, it has to do more with the fact that we don't trust them just like Americans don't trust the middle eastern people do to the so called 9/11 attack. and seriously do not understand the rest of the things you've said
