Girl ignores me after I asked her out

Hey, I'm having a problem that's making me crazy. I'm 15 years old, just started Swedish "high school". I asked this girl out, and she said yes, and said she would tell me when she wanted to go out. but she never told me any thing and now 2 week have gone by. We always said hello when we saw each other in school before (we have been in the same class for 5 years), but now she doesn't even look at me even if I'm right next to her.

I've liked since the first time I saw her, but I had only talked to her like 5 times in 5 years. When I started "highschool" I got the courage to talk to her and ask her out.

I'm asking you girls why she acts like this and what you think I should do?!

I also had boy friend like 3 months ago, but she broke up with him because he was "stupid". he talks to her every day, but they're not back together and he's not the kind of guy who would do something so stupid what it would take 3 months or more to get together again. I have this feeling that she doesn't want him any more.

Am I right or paranoid?

You haven't done anything wrong, so don't worry about that.

This girl said that she would go out with you, but it seems that she then changed her mind for some reason. It might be as you suspect--she wants to get back together with her ex boyfriend--but who knows? It is immature and rude of her to ignore you and not tell you whether she still wants to date you.

My advice is, ask her (calmly) what is going on. Say that you are still interested in going out with her, but you have noticed that she seems uncomfortable around you lately. Ask her if things have changed and she no longer wants to date you.

It sounds like she will say no. And if this happens, you should let it go. Tell her, OK I'm sorry to hear that. Then don't talk about it anymore. If she is confused about whether to get back together with her boyfriend, then your best chance is to avoid pressuring her right now. That way, if things don't work out with the boyfriend, you won't have ruined your chances with her or started an argument.

Here's my advice:

Ask her one more time. Only once! But this time, ask for a specific day, time and activity (such as "Miniature golfing next Saturday afternoon.")

If she IS interested in you, she will make time for you.

If she is NOT interested in you, she will make excuses.

It's really that simple. What she SAYS is NOT important. What she DOES is important.

Once you can learn that behavior means more than words, women will make a lot more sense. And you'll stop worrying about what it means, what she meant, body language and all the rest. Talk is cheap. Behavior is gold.
