If i were to make an argument that supports your claim it would be because women communicate indirectly.

Women:
"how does this look on me?"
- it looks good! have you tried this one?

Men:
"how does this look on me"
- you look gay.

So some might call it "two face" others might say "nicer." Women can give each other critique without hurting their feelings but obviously they can also be catty.

I'm not sure if what you've observed actually is the case (in general). I suppose that girls may tend to be more passive aggressive than guys (on average) so may perhaps be more inclined to duplicitous behaviour, whereas a guy might just be more confrontational.

Again I'm not sure that that's actually the case, but I guess that could explain it if it is.

I don't generalize that, I know some guys who have 100 faces. But of course there are a lot of players in both genders
