Why do girls think im gay?

the other day at work this girl assumed I was gay because I didn't hit on any of the women at work seriously,
I have been told I am good looking and im pretty much myself nice kind and hardworking.

I get this a lot too. Not so much from older women, but from ones around my age and younger. The reason I get it is usually due to a few factors:
-I take more care of my body (nice nails, frequent grooming, lotions and creams)
-I dress really well and I like to shop, help girls pick out clothes etc.
-I speak differently than most of the people in my age group and younger, I wouldn't say I have the typical "gay" voice either, it is more about my choice of words and my storytelling.
-I am not afraid to talk about my emotions and I can do so efficiently.
-my body language. My movements are something that I worked hard on, and I am constantly aware of them. I move deliberately and with purpose, I am proud of the way I carry myself, and if it comes off as gay, well then I see that as a compliment to both me and the gays.
-I grew up around women so I am "in touch" with my feminine side
-I am not emasculated by threats to my ego/manliness, and I could admit when a guy is good looking without feeling gay.

I don't know if you see yourself in any of those reasons listed, but it may give you more insight as to what it is about you that can give off that impression.

People have thought I'm gay because I'm 26 and a virgin who hasn't had a long term relationship... people just make assumptions because they like to compartmentalize people, if they think they've got you figured out then they can move on, people don't like not having things/people figured out, it makes them uncomfortable.

Because some bitches are so self-obsessed that they think if a guy doesn't hit on them, something must be wrong with him, in your case, that you're gay.
