So I met this girl at a party and she found me on facebook?

I went to my friends birthday party last night and I met this girl who is one my friends best friends. We ended up clicking pretty well and had some interesting conversations. At the end of the night my friend was drunk and wanted to walk her friend home even though it was too far to walk. So I was going to leave any way and since I drove I offered to give her friend a ride to be nice and also put my friend at ease.

So I drove her home and we talked a bit on the way. Overall it was a fun night and things went well. She thanked me and after seeing that she made it inside safely, I drove home.

About an hour later I got a message from her on my facebook thanking me once again. Now I have a pretty unique name so I'm not sure how she possibly found me. Did she really look me up? or maybe she somehow asked my friend who was a little drunk.

So what do I do here? add her as a friend? what could she want? I think she'd be cool as a friend. I guess I'm surprised that someone I just met managed to find me online.

Dude, technology advanced impressively, and even though you can be able to use facial recognition these days, i shall thell you the simple method she might have used: she searched on facebook your friends name, and looked through his list of friends, and visually recognised you. And found you.

It's a simple algorithm: look up the wanted person's friends, find their mutual friends, the number in now restrained, and facially recognize the person after their pictures. And that's how you can find someone even not knowing their name.
It takes a while but it's simple.
Or, way more simple: she asked someone about you.

Bro FB uses Google maps I think to find out where you have been and it will find people in that area and suggest that you add them as a friend. She could have seen that on her FB feed or she could have just simply asked your friend what your name is.
