If you're really interested in a girl, are there still days where you wouldn't contact her at all?

So, "game playing" aside, if you're really into a girl, will you still have days where you don't text her or call her at all? I've been on a couple dates with this guy and they seem to be going really well...he says all sorts of cute and sweet things that lead me to believe he's really into me...but then there's days where I just don't hear from him at all. He owns his own business and is often very busy with work, so I'm trying to remain calm, but in my previous relationships, communication has always been very consistent and we would rarely go an entire day without at least a quick text, but I'm not sure if this is the norm, as I haven't had that many relationships. Can someone fill me in on normal guy behavior in this area?

I don't speak for all guys. It's not too out of the ordinary for me to go a few days without speaking to the girl I've been going out with. I'll certainly return calls and chat when passing by but I don't nesicarily call daily and I certainly don't believe in the token text message.

A multi-day lapse in communication doesn't warrant panic especially if he's busy. If a week rolls by you might want to raise a few flags.

Well it would definitely be normal for me. I can't imagine dating a girl and talking to her every single day of the week, unless we're deeply in love and possibly close to getting engaged or married. Even then, I'm an introvert and I'd need my personal space.
