Have you ever had a big crush on an ugly guy (or girl)?

My latest crush was a strange case. I thought this guy was SO gorgeous even though looking at him he was no better than the next guy. For some reason, my body reacted to his presence like he was freaking Brad Pitt (not in that way you pervs). I had all the symptoms of having a crush like sweaty palms, nervousness, and just thinking he was the shit in general. Every time I saw him it was like my mind just went "that guy is freaking awesome!! You had better jump on that!!". He had some good features thatdrove me wild, like his smile and his manly build, but for the most part he was totally average. Actually, I don't mean to sound concieted but I'm very beautiful and look much better than him and get the attention of a lot of guys. But yet he makes me feel like i just belong with him. Why the heck would I go so crazy for a guy who isn't even my type nor is he handsome enough to make me be so fond of him but to me he's crazy good looking? I mean, what's up? Has this ever happened to anybody else? (BTW I'm not crazy if I sounded like I was I just have a big crush on a totally average guy and its confusing).

I sometimes find myself attracted to guys who aren't 'conventionally attractive'. There is just something about them I really like but can't quite pinpoint what it is. If you like the guy, there's nothing wrong with that and just because you are more attractive than him doesn't mean you can't have a crush on him. Just trust how you feel

Yes I had a huge crush on this guy I thought he was amazing. But really when I snapped back to reality he was awful and lazy he even got a girl pregnant. and I dint even know he couldnt find a job. I felt so stupid cuz I thought he was amazing which he wasn't. all I am glad jothing never happened.

But my one and only huge crush I had was on a quite invisible "nerdy" guy in school.. no one thought he was good looking but I thought he was the most beautiful creature on earth 😛😛

He's not ugly its just that he is not nearly good looking enough for me to basically want him so much, but I do for some reason. And he isn't nerdy actually I'm more nerdy than he is, its just that isn't as good looking as me

But you do want him, that's what matters really. Who cares if he's ugly, nerdy, below your league or weird. You want him and you can't do anything about it. Believe me, I've been there.
What exactly makes him so desirable? Just curious ☺

Idek. Its sovwierd because you know how usually you think about the guy you like afterwards and fantasize about him and all that? Its not like that with him. Its like out of sight out of mind. When he's gone he doesn't even pop up in my mind and when he is around I have, like, a primal instinct that makes me want to do all kinds of bad things to him. I like him as a person and all, but I have a very high attraction to him and I don't know why

The science of attraction is very strange. I believe that most people are unaware of what they truly find attractive, and you shouldn't even be concerned with that. Stop concerning yourself who is more "attractive" because that's totally subjective.

Well, I still won't admit my crush isn't attractive (because I still have a crush on him ;D) but let's just say, well, a (very normal) photo of him made one friend gag and another laugh so hard her water sprayed out of her nose. (He's really tall and skinny, has long hair, and he drives me totally crazy.)
I guess it's normal, and like they say, love is definitely blind.
