Girls, Do Girls Like Receiving Hugs?

First off, Merry Christmas everyone! Secondly, I want to hug my female friend, but I am really attracted to her and act incredibly shy around her. I usually look for a reason to hug her, like if she's sad, but she always seems happy when I'm around her. I guess I'm just nervous that she'll think I'm "creepy" for wanting to hug her. So, let me ask you ladies, do you like receiving hugs from your male friends?

It depends on from who and I am trying to work on it. Generally no I don't like being hugged from just anyone. But my business culture likes hugs.

Most hugs I see look fake. I used to hug my grandma always. You know how it is Grandmas give those good hugs that are tight and they rub your back. I hug my boyfriend all the time waiting in lines or where ever we hug. I hug my dog and I hug my sister but not my brothers.

I hate forced hugs people give each other. BUT I hate it when I can't accept a genuine hug. A close friend of my boss who works for another firm that I always see at functions tries to hug me. It always throws me off guard and I cower a little then he gives up on the hug. I HATE THAT I DO THIS.

If I see him coming I prepare and open for a hug but if I don't I shrink in. It makese feel bad because he doesn't hug everyone and I know he hugs me because I'm young and my boss likes me and he is close with my boss. I feel like a jerk sometimes. But I've never liked random hugs.

When people try to hug me, it's like sketch comedy. I'm 6'2" and I wear at least 5" heels to any and every social event... so it's a fun spectacle, people trying to figure out how to hug a woman who's standing 6'8" off the floor. WHERE DO THE ARMS GO? Lol.

So if your girl is a normal, huggable height, take advantage of it. Hug her twice, once for her and once for me. <3

I don't have many male friends. So, I don't know who would hug me, haha. But boyfriend hugs are always nice! And I'm sure if I had any male friends I could hug, I would love to hug them.

It's the holidays, hug her when you see her but... make sure you hug at least 1 other person but that's only if you don't like like her you just want to touch her. o. O but jkahf Hmmm, if you like her, you should just be honest. Get your hug, but if you like her, tell her. It will be less stressful for you in the long run.

I think if you are not comfortable enough just try to choose the right moment. Also, try to read her body language. Some people are just not open enough and don't like it when other people invade their personal space.

However, I think most if not all girls love hugs. I think hugs are just like a magic! ^-^

I only hug people I know and like. I hate hugging people I barely even know, it's so awkward. I'm also not a very touchy-feely person, so if the hug feels out of place to me, I will also try to back off quickly (even if the person trying to hug me is a friend). I only like hugs when they come naturally, really.

I lovvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee giving hugs but if the hug is unwanted then I feel like avoiding the person. Make sure that when you hug her it's not in a creepy way. And don't just grab her. Maybe say some thing like "can I hug you?" BUT NEVER SAY "can I have a hug?" Because sometimes that come off as kind of fuck boyish. I'm not sure why but it does.

Not all the time, sometimes there's a boundary which I dont like to cross with certain people. It can feel a bit creepy at times if he is constantly randomly hugging me, unless I like him too and i flirt with him on occasion. But its a vibe you get from someone, if you feel it then i would back off because its risking your friendship

HECK YEAH! Hugs are the BOMB! I love those huge, tight, cozy bear hugs! Ahhh they are my favorite. Especially from a guy who really smells nice. I like the feeling of protection that hug gives. :)

that said, some people aren't huggers~ know what your friend's boundaries are, and respect them.

Well it depends on the person, I personally love hugs and most of my female friends so too. But there are some (that one friend), who don't really like hugs. but if you've hugged her before and she seems fine with it then go on, give her a hug.
