Girls, what does it mean when a girl mentions another guy in front of me?

As far as I know - this girl knows I like her. She's a little bit shy generally speaking.

She mentioned another guy with another female friend of ours while I was in front of both of them.

Well, it depends on what she said. If she was making this guy sound like a dream, she probably wanted to get you a little jealous to see exactly how much you're paying attention. Or maybe even try to tease you a bit let you know "you're not her only one" which of course I'm sure you are. Girls just like to be a challenge sometimes.

I don't know whether she was making this other guy sound like a dream... But she did mention something about him being attractive or something like that - to which the mutual friend who is also sitting with us at the time encourages her and eggs her on to flirt with him and add him on Facebook, etc, much to my annoyance as the mutual friend KNOWS I have feelings for this girl.

Well it could, but maybe no. I agree. Maybe she was trying to see if you got jealous or something. I don't know you'll just have to watch her behavior now

Well if it is true that she likes you, then it's probably her way of pushing you into making a move out of competition.

I dunno whether she likes me or not... As far as I know, she does know I like her though I haven't explicitly told her I do.
