I don't think its cheating per say but its uncomfortablly close to the point where I would find it unacceptable. When you cuddle you create an emotional bond with that person, an intimate bond which is meant of your significant other not a friend so its treading awfully close to that line.
I don't think it's acceptable. I'd be pissed if my girlfriend was doing that. And any girl who is in a monogamous relationship would be pretty hurt as well. It's VERY rarely without an element of sexual tension and intimacy and can easily lead down a slope.
It's sort of cheating. In the end, it's still inappropriate to do. If it was a girlfriend of yours, I don't think it'd be a problem. Yes, double standards, whatever, but there are boundaries and lines that should not be crossed when it comes to the opposite gender.
I don't think it's cheating. Cheating is when there are actual feelings in it other than friendship. My boyfriend knows my best friend and he knows he doesn't have to worry. Sometimes, my best friend and I cuddle in front of him... It's not a problem.
So he's your backup guy then?
@Knuckles77 why is this so hard for you guys to understand that there's nothing sexual in it? I treat him like a brother, for christ's sake
Because you don't treat him like a brother. I don't snuggle with my sisters. It's an inappropriate relationship. I also didn't say anything about anything being sexual. I asked if he was your back up guy. In otherwords, if and when things don't work out with your boyfriend, your "friend"is the dope you've got waiting in the wings. You know, the guy you'll start being with before the relationship is actucally over. Then your boyfriend gets the memo you two are broken up, and like 3 days later you amazingly have a new boyfriend. That's a back up guy. Also I've been around. It's pretty tough for girls and guys to have a strictly plutonic relationship. Usually one or the other has ulterior motives. Either the guy is a back up guy and functions in the capacity like I just mentioned, or he's the guy a girl will keep around and try to marry at around 29-32 years old if she isn't married yet and after she's had her fun. For guys they're the shoulder to cry on and wait until their female friend comes crying and
And complaining about how bad her boyfriend is. He's the shoulder to cry on. Then when she's emotionally vaulnerable, like a shark smelling blood in the water, he swims right in for the kill. I've seen this type of thing so many times. Girls and guys usually don't make good plutonic friends and usually one or both has ulterior motives. If your were my girlfriend you'd be gone once I found out about this. Ain't no way in hell my girlfriend is gonna cuddle with another guy "like brother and sister" or not and me be ok with it.
@Knuckles77 wow, okay, sorry you had to go through that (because it sure as hell seems like it) but I do love my boyfriend and I can almost tell this is going to last for a long long time, and my best friend also has a girlfriend, and in our nine year friendship we never even tried to be more than friends because it's just the way it is. I don't find him sexually attractive, and neither does he. My boyfriend is more than okay with that because he trusts me and because he knows my history. I'm sorry if you feel involved in this but no, it doesn't always end up this way. I don't have ulterior motives, and I sure as hell am not "waiting till my boyfriend screws up to go running to my best friend". Could've already happened, never did.
Do as you like. I'm just saying it ain't cool, and friends aren't supposed to snuggle.
Yes it is. That is entirely unacceptable. I wouldn't do to him what I know I wouldn't be okay with. All of your affections belong to your partner and your partner only. Sharing them with anyone else is just wrong.
I think it's cheating unless your partner disagrees.

Yeah, that's a privilege strictly for relationships when you're in one. Ol girl might as well stay in the other guys arms
44% of gals think it's ok vs 32% of guys and guys are the dogs right? The ones always cheating? It ain't cool. A girls affection should be for her SO only. It might not be technically cheating but if my girl did that I'd fire her.
Well it is innocent enough.. but I am sure your boyfriend would not view it as that.. it is to me not something you should practice a lot for sure
Not sure if it's cheating or not but its inappropriate or wrong!!! And it opens a door to cheating...
I cuddle with my female friends, why not my male friends too? As long as there's trust in the relationship is let my boyfriend cuddle with his female friend as long as it was just cuddling.
Not really cheating, but is very scandalous in a relationship
Thats like a man saying it's not cheating as long as one wears a dom. :)
I'd say it's pretty disrespectful to both your relationship and the guy your dating if you do this.
It's right before cheating.
And if ur not, there's no reason to be cuddling with the other sex.
It's not cheating but is opening the door for cheating. His dick is gonna poke her eventually...
I totally agree with it being wrong!
Yeah that's wrong on so many levels!
Yes it is.
I am pretty sure they are gay so...
