At what age is it appropriate to wear lingerie?

What age do you think is appropriate to wear lingerie?
I ask because it really appeals to me, but my mum won't let me wear it. The stuff that I do like isn't anything extreme or crazy either. I kinda wish I could buy it regardless, but at the end of the day, I'm under her roof and she does all the washing, so I have no way of hiding it from her.
I wouldn't wear it for anyone (#singlelife) but it makes me feel good wearing it and it's like a mini confidence boost.
Is 17 too young to wear lingerie?

I have a few bits and pieces of pretty underwear I bought for myself. I like it because it makes me feel sexy. I don't think I ever considered my parents when I got it. It was my money so I do what I like with it. If she's really against it wash it yourself. Not like it's going to kill her for you to have nice clothing that no one else is even going to see.
