Do women desire to be desired more than they desire men themselves?

From my experience it appears women desire to be lusted by, adored and cherished more than they are attracted to men themselves.
I've even had a woman go as far to tell me women are kind of selfish when it comes to attraction, she claimed she personally doesn't really feel desire or lust toward men until he shows he desires and wants her which in turn makes her develope feelings back.
This is also why the dad bob is a thing, women prefer to be the attractive and desireable one.
So this makes me wonder if its men women are more attracted to or the way men desire women.
And from my experiences this seems to be fairly acurate, please let me know what you think:)

For women attraction is core to their identity because that is what gives them the power to mate. For men the opposite is true: Attractiveness is not core to the identity but instead a mere vehicle to the identity of being one who mates with a harem. Attractiveness therefore can actually be bought or manufactured for a male but is direct opposite for a female.

Okay... either you've spent a lot of women that are similar or you don't meet many...

if you're asking are all women selfish in that fashion (which is what the original thread questions). you're somewhat determining that all women are set in that way... I believe to actually have that answer made up in your mind you would have to have met every woman on the planet or most even for a majority conclusion...

with women desiring to be desired... that's a general population question that can be posed to everyone as food for thought regardless of sex.

sure women want to be desired, I don't really think it means they want to be more or less desired by the opposite sex.
To be honest though, you seem to have already made your mind up with your answer...

yes I want to feel desired a lot. However I can tell Mr if he's truly craving for me or not. So I tease him , I make myself more and even more desirable

We desire to be desired by men that we desire. I would think the same is true for men.

Well everyone wants to be desired byt for women it seems to be central for their sexuality.
It seems almost purely based off by how much affection and reaction they cause in men rather than actually desiring the man himself back

Definitely not. Two men could treat a woman the exact same way but the desire for one could greatly outweigh the other. It's not central for our sexuality.

Sex its typically all about the physical release of sexual tension for men, sexual tension is caused from dirty thoughts to sinply seeing attractive females.
Whereas for women is about feeling desired, sexy and like the guy is committed, this is expressed through his sexual desire for her which traslstes to feeling loved.

No, I don't agree. It seems more based on the individual. Many men would not fit the mold you've given them. Many women would not fit the mold you've given them.

Men as a collective are ALL the same in this regard except makes a very very small minority.
Its how men work, its biological.
Whereas women seem to be completely different as a collective. But even still most desire sex fir the emotional fulfilment rather than the release.

of course if you feel like the other person hates you, is repulsed by you or doesn't seem like she has much interest you will put off.
What im saying though is men dont need emotions or anything of the such to desire sex, they want sex with attractive women for purely sexual release.
Women want sex for the closeness, emotional fulfillment etc
