it sounds like you were coming on too strong and possibly too much. especially if she isn't interested in you that way.
i can imagine she has probably told you this already and you haven't listened or she thought blocking you was easier

  Hey, I'm not in this situation now. But I remember I was talking to a girl once and I said something that hurt her feelings (it was meant as a joke, but she took it seriously) and she told me that she was really upset and then blocked me on EVERYTHING. I sent a her a text to apologize but she probably blocked my number as well. Do you think a girl would do that even if she liked the guy? This girl did like me, or at least she did at the start.
