Girls in shorts of appropriate length and fashionable style look beautiful. But why some girls wear way too short shorts like these?

And this one looks like wearing only a shirt WITHOUT bottoms!

I live in Asia most of my time. I find many girls wear shorts of normal length, and several wear very short shorts like the pictures. Probably it's modern fashion in east world. Is it also popular for girls to wear short shorts in west world?

We wear shorts usually because of the heat, and because shorts are comfortable. The length of the shorts depends on the girl's own preference, but I can say with confidence that girls don't wear short shorts for guys.
SIDE NOTE: The last picture isn't unusual. Her shorts look like they're the same length as a lot of shorts girls wear, it's just that her top is really long. If you look closely, you can make out where the waistband of her shorts are: about the same area where the top of her bag is. Some girls tuck in their shirts, but it can get annoying having to pull and fix the shirt constantly.

Those aren't shorts in my opinion - more like undies (what my parents said). I understand that it's somewhat a fashion thing, but it looks indecent or inappropriate for outdoors. So, I am going just say that - inflation costs makes the garment makers cut down costs in utilizing sufficient fabric and materials for a decent pair of shorts these days. LOL...

I don't wear shorts shorter than 4 inches from the crotch. I'm also getting older so I prefer to not wear shorts that small lol

First of all, Eastern Asians (since you only posted pics of them) consider this look cute and appropriate, it's like in Western society when you wear a crop top. Secondly, it's impossible as a girl to find normal length of shorts in stores (unless you want to buy the ugliest pair), it's like you can only buy denim underwear unless you go several sizes up.

I don't wear shorts that short. However, I'm also easily 16 sizes bigger than the girls you posted.

As someone with thick thighs, hips, and glutes any pair shorts I put on ride up so...🙂
