So why do women wear short-shorts? Do you wear them to show off those beautiful legs and butt, because they are comfortable, or some other combination of reasons?

Many guys including me dislike short shorts on girls which are too revealing, provocative and promiscuous. They look trashy, wasted, rude, indiscreet and sleazy on those naughty, sexy-aggressive, offensive pairs of shorts.

As long as your clothes range from modest to slightly revealing/showing some tiny bit of skin, people are fine with it. Many are strict on this because they don't want their girl/daughter to witness and engage in sexiness, cleavage display, growl, coarse arrogance in their dressing, and shaking ass off for money. Today, we have a whole lot of promiscuous, prudish, negligent, in-genteel women in our generation.. We should not be that cheap and we never can be that cheap. Many can afford to uphold their family with standards in their living and dressing. So, modesty, being genteel, graceful, decent, righteous, genuine, and discreet are of high quality and should be incorporated. You understand this more when you have to rear children properly for them to become good kids.

why do people assume that when a woman dresses sexy it automatically has to be to get attention from guys. I workout a lot and love my body, I like to look sexy for myself. I lwill sit there in the mirror and check my own self out naked while alone in my room, so I def don't do it for anyone else...I can't stand that sh*t. A woman's world doesn't revolve around men. Don't flatter yourselves. I wear short shorts because they are cute, cool, and I love how I look in them. All the girls hating can kiss my butt cheeks...you just mad because you don't have the body to rock the clothes I wear. and yes it hit a nerve with me because I get so tired of women being criticized for the clothing they choose to wear. men walk around shirtless when its hot and half naked...a woman put on some cut short shorts and everybody got something negative to say about it. I tried, I really did to stay away from my few pairs of jean shorts, but it's been over 109 degrees where I'm at so f*** my longer jeans -

I didn't think the shorts would make much of a difference - but honestly, the afternoons aren't as brutal.

I try to not wear short shorts; one because I've been raised thinking that anything short means your slutty and sends of that vibe and two, I feel I'm too skinny to wear them lol I feel like it emphasizes the narrowness of my hips and I don't feel very attractive wearing them :\

On the other hand - I have long nicely sculpted runner's legs, so I get to display my hard work :D

Yea, but I mean, that's how people use clothes in general. Girls wear tight stuff to show off our assets, guys wear tank tops / tight shirts to show off there's, or go the baggy clothes route which is also seen as sexy / appealing for men.

Honestly when I get dressed in the mornings - I pick outfits that will flatter me. I'm no attention whore, but I want to feel good in my own skin for the day.

Except the short shorts - I really do only wear those when it's extremely hot.

For a mixture of reasons. I usually don't wear shorts that are THAT short, cause I'd feel weird, but when I do, it's usually cause I tried it on in the fitting room or whatever, and didn't realize then how short they actually were...or if I tried to make cutoffs but I had to keep cutting more off to make them equal. Like, most of my 'short-shorts' are a result of me having 'dun goofed'.

Or alternately, cause I think they look good. Plus, some of the most comfortable shorts I have are short.

I don't have a problem with shorts that are shorter, but I draw the line when your ass is hanging out. That is not comfortable, and it makes you look like a slut. I have a girl on my team that does that then she wants to act surprised that guys at parties try to sleep with her. Our team captain mentioned something to her about dressing more appropriately for practice and the next day she came in shorts that belonged to one of the 7 year olds at the day care center she works at (did this because she "forgot" her shorts so the little girl let her borrow them for the day. funny thing was she wore them the next day too). so wear the short shorts if you feel comfortable in, but don't wear the short ones that show your ass hanging out because while you think you look sexy, some people don't want to see it.
