I tend to remember everything that is said between myself and the people I care for. I'm very good at remembering things and I am very observant. Chances are, he likes you. I mean, if he pays enough attention when he's talking to you to remember it from that long ago, he obviously enjoys your company, or that time he's referring to.

Keep in mind, he could just be really good at remembering, or could have had help(like saved texts, MSN conversations, etc)

Well, a) he has a decent memory, b) he found the conversation interesting, and c) he probably likes you. Some guys remember faces better than names, others vice versa. If the girl is attractive, it helps a guy to remember. However, most of all, talking about something you both find interesting, and "clicking" with each other is more important.
